The project requires the filling of 0.17 acres of regulated freshwater wetland CL-6, 1 140 acre Class II wetland associated with Three Mile Creek, and 0.10 acres of regulated freshwater wetland CL-3 an 18 acre Class III shrub swamp. Approximately 1.0 acres of constructed wetland will be developed in mitigation for wetland loss. |

Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct a 175' long x 16' wide corridor and gravel access road across regulated wetland B-41 to a proposed camp building site. The camp, 36' x 28', with septic system and parking area would be in the 100' buffer area of wetland B-41. Also, a 20' long x 16' wide timber bridge would be constructed over an unnamed tributary of Sylvia Lake on an existing roadway for access through property and a 24' x 30' "out camp" would be constructed along that roadway, primarily for day use. A 12" water equalization culvert would be installed in an existing right-of-way roadway to the west of the proposed roadway. The site is located approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the hamlet of Balmat. |
