The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a permit to discharge 54,000 gpd of process wastewater; 5,000 gpd of contact cooling water and 4,000 gpd of boilder blowdown into the Hoosick River, a Class C waterbody, from the applicant's facility located on Spring Street Road, Watervliet, New York. The entire discharge was previously permitted to Altech Specialty Steel. The permit is being split to reflect the two new owners. The above outfalls will be permitted to Altx and the remainder will be issued to RealCo. SPDES No. NY-0261254.

The applicant proposes to construct a 9.8 acre pond, partially within the adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland Cl-15. The project involves the alteration of 0.83 acres of existing emergent wetland to create an aquatic wetland/open water area, and includes mitigation efforts and the enhancement/creation of 1.61 acres of new wetland area. The project is located at 85 Buckwheat Road, adjacent to Freshwater Wetland CL-15, in the Town of Clermont, Columbia County.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve a permit for the discharge of 62,000 gallons per day of treated effluent to the Tremper Kill from a new wastewater treatment plant in the Village of Andes. The project also includes 6 stream crossings (Tremperkill 1, Liddle Brook 2, and Gladstone Hollow 3) during installation of the collection system and an outfall to the Tremper Kill. The new treatment plant will be located off of Tremper Kill Road.

The applicant proposes to take a supp;ly of water up to 26,000 gallons per day from well #2 located adjacent to the existing well #1. This source shall be used in conjunction with the primary source supply and water supply systems previously permitted. The project is located off State Route 10 in the hamlet of Hamden.

The applicant proposes to remove an existing gravel bar (approximately 30 ft. wide by 150 ft. long) from the Catskill Creek. The project is located at the intersection of Route 22 and Clay Hill Road, within the Catskill Creek, Town of Durham, Greene County.

The applicant proposes to stabilize approximately 750 linear feet of the bank of the Catsikill Creek with heavy stone rip rap in order to prevent further erosion of stream bank. The project is located on Stone Bridge Road Extension, adjacent to Catskill Creek, in the Town of Durham, Greene County.

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit to discharge wash water from a dairy processing facility (outfall 1) and sanitary wastewater (septic system) (outfall 2) to groundwater. The facility is located on Oxbow Road off of NYS Route 28 just north of the Village of Milford, Otsego County.
