Steuben County - The Town of Erwin Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Zoning Amendment to prohibit large excavations in the Town of Erwin will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amending the Town of Erwin Zoning Law to prohibit mining operations which exceed the NYSDEC permit threshold . Smaller mining operations and pre-existing mines would not be affected by the amendment. The project is located within Industrial and Rural Development zoning districts in the Town of Erwin. Elsewhere, all mining is prohibited.

Wayne County - The Town of Sodus, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Extension No. 2 to Water District No. 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed project provides for the extension of public water along a portion of North Centenary Road between Lake Road and Route 104. The improvements include the construction of 13,300 feet of 8 inch watermain, in addition to fire hydrants, valves, water services, appurtenances and surface restoration. Residents in these areas are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project is located on a portion of North Centenary Road, between Lake Road and Route 104, Town of Sodus.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing|
Monroe County - The Town of Penfield Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a draft generic EIS on the Town of Penfield Proposed 2000 Comprehensive Plan. A public hearing on the draft generic EIS will be held on March 1, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. in the Penfield Town Hall, 3100 Atlantic Avenue, Penfield, NY. Comments on the draft generic EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until March 12, 2001. The action involves the adoption of the Penfield 2000 Comprehensive Plan. The Plan is intended to update the current comprehensive plan, completed in 1990. The project is located in the entire Town of Penfield.
