Project description: The applicant proposes to increase the size of its existing mobile home court by greater-than-25% of its size as of 8/1/73 (11 units) by adding five new mobile home sites to the court. Since 8/1/73, four mobile homes have been added to the court. Two of the four were legally placed pursuant to §811(5) of the Adirondack Park Agency Act and two were placed in violation of §809(1) of the Act. The applicant is also seeking approval of the two illegally placed mobile homes. The existing and proposed mobile homes will all utilize individual on-site wastewater treatment systems and a community water supply.

Project description: The action involves improvements to the Adirondack Regional Airport, including: 1) replacement of a 3,900± square foot maintenance/equipment storage building with a 8,000± square foot snow removal equipment/aircraft rescue and firefighting equipment building, 2) replacement of runway lighting and construction of a new 15' x 25' electrical vault, 3) re-establishment of turf on 21.8 acres of exposed sand by enriching the soil with compost, and 4) runway safety area improvements involving filling 0.13 acres of wetland. Wetland mitigation is proposed.

Project Name: Word of Life Bible Institute Expansion, Jack Wyrtzen Center

Location: Warren County, Town of Chester, Between Route 9 and Schroon Lake and north side of County Route 62 (Glendale Road)

Project description: The action involves greater-than-25% expansion of the Institute, including the proposed addition of a 1200 seat auditorium (approx. 100' by 196') with a second phase attached library (100' by 50'), having an overall height of 52'. Construction is expected to take 18 months, working weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with occasional work on Saturdays. Stump disposal from site clearing, totaling 540 cubic yards, would be disposed near the existing water tank with earth cover. Applicant requests after-the-fact approval of four dormitories, health center with storage and central maintenance facilities. Current enrollment is 649 students with the proposed construction to facilitate an 800 student enrollment and 80 staff on the 110 acre campus, as estimated by 2006. Future buildings needed for the Bible Institute master plan include three men’s and three women’s dormitories, gymnasium expansion and cold storage building. The campus would be served by the existing on-site water and wastewater treatment systems, expanded 326 car parking area and new entrance road on Glendale Road and two proposed stormwater detention ponds.

Project description: The action involves a three-lot subdivision for the purposes of creating a 2.38± acre parcel and a 0.70± acre substandard sized shoreline (Lake George) parcel to be conveyed to the Geigers and a 3.11± acre parcel with a substandard sized shoreline lot width to be conveyed to the Woodards. No new development is proposed and the applicants have a written agreement to restrict certain development activities on the parcels.

Positive Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Milton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of New Comprehensive Master Plan may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The action involves the adoption of the new Comprehensive Master Plan including amended land use and amended subdivision regulations. The project is located in the Town of Milton, Saratoga County.
