Project Description: The Department has prepared fact sheets and a draft permit, # NY- 0258644, and made a tentative determination to approve this application for the discharge of storm water which collects in containment vessels for above ground petroleum product storage tanks and for treated sanitary wastewater which is discharged to groundwaters from a service center - market. The storm water is treated by passage through a 1200 gallon oil & sediment separator tank before being discharged to surface drainage ditches flowing to a tributary of Ransom Creek. The NOCO wholesale/retail petroleum distribution facility is located at 13613 Main St., junction of Main & Murray Corners Rd, Newfane. The permit proposes discharge sampling requirements, best management practices for the facility, and signs identifying the surface discharges. The permit application, draft permit, and applicable regulations are available for review at the Region 9 Headquarters during regular office hours. |
