Project Description:

The Town of West Bloomfield proposes to provide up to 7500 gallons of water per day to Hickory Lane and Route 65 north of Olmstead Road. The City of Rochester's Hemlock/Canadice lakes will be the source of supply.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: West Bloomfield Town Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: A cultural resources survey has been completed. The report of the survey is on file. No archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Mar 12 2001.

Project Description:

The Salvation Army proposes to extend the existing infiltration gallery to provide water to Camp Long Point. A new 6,500 square foot course sand and gravel filter bed will be located 45 feet from the shoreline and terminate with 55 feet of 4-inch well screen. The total structure will extend 110 feet into Seneca Lake.The project will include a maximum excavation of 4 feet with back fill of gravel by using a large tracked excavator. The project will be located at the Salvation Army, Camp Long Point, at 100 Long Point Road. The project plans may be reviewed at the NYSDEC office.
