Project Description: The applicant proposes replacement of the existing Fuller Road Bridge over the Little Ausable River. The project will involve removal of the existing bridge substructure and superstructure, to be replaced with a pre-stressed concrete bridge founded on cast-in-place concrete abutments. Heavy stone will be used for riverbank stabilization on 80' of the south and 60' of the north banks, down stream of the bridge. Traffic will be detoured during the construction phase, which is anticipated to be April through October of 2001. |

Project Description: Proposed rehabilitation of NYS Route 149 (Town of Queensbury), to improve inadequate highway design features, and correct pavement and drainage deficiencies. Part I of this two-part project begins 600 feet east of the Rt. 9 intersection and extends 2.7 miles east to the Adirondack Park Boundary, and involves the following activity in Freshwater Wetland #GF-18 (class II) and adjacent area: pavement and guide rail removal, road realignment, drainage ditch construction, and installation of two concrete culverts. Compensatory mitigation for wetland impacts proposed for Parts I and II will be completed during Part I construction. Proposed wetland impacts for Parts I and II (totaling approx. 2.4 acres), including impact to 1.46 acres of Wetland #GF-18, will be mitigated by creating two wetland areas totaling 2.8 acres. An additional 0.4 acres of mitigation wetland area is proposed for Part II of the project, resulting in an overall wetland replacement ratio of 1.3 to 1. |
