Project Description:

The applicant proposes the construction of a 120 foot long by 20 foot wide support structure, which will be used for the routing of a 48 inch water supply conduit and a 36 inch drain conduit across the Onesquethaw Creek in the Town of Bethlehem. Additionally, between 55 and 75 linear feet of rip rap will be placed along both sides of the streambank to protect the abutments from erosion. Two temporary roads will be utilized to access the construction site.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Mar 2 2001.

The applicant proposes to operate an 11.2 acre life-of-mine surface consolidated bluestone mine of which 2.6 acres is proposed to be disturbed during the initial permit term.
