The applicant proposes to eliminate an existing 12 foot by 22 foot boat slip by installing 22 feet of new bulkhead across the entrance to the slip and placing 80 cubic yards of clean fill within the slip. Remove and replace the existing 38 feet of bulkhead in the same location at an increased height of 18 inches. Dredge a 10 foot by 40 foot area to 4 feet below mean low water with resultant 25 cubic yards of dredged material to be used as backfill. Install a platform, ramp, float and 4 foot wide boardwalk. The project is located at West 1st Street, Village of Freeport, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.

Applicant proposes to reinforce 300 linear feet of existing concrete retaining wall by placing tongue and groove timber wall on landward side, install new tie back system and drill weep holes. Regrade and plant with beach grass eroded sections of slope utilizing 750 cubic yards of clean fill from an upland source. The portion of property landward of the concrete wall is beyond the jurisdiction of Article 25 (Tidal Wetlands).The property is located at 103 Centre Island Road, Centre Island, Town of Oyster Bay.

The applicant proposes to: subdivide a 2.5 acre lot into 6 residential lots and construct a single family dwelling and associated accessory structures on each, an access road and drainage; installation of approximately 630 feet of bulkhead five feet landward of existing deteriorated bulkhead, dredging seaward of new bulkhead to a depth of 3 feet below apparent low water and placement of resultant 1300 cubic yards of spoil at an approved upland site (either on or off site);. enhancement of approximately .19 acres of wetland by removing Phragmites and planting Spartina alterniflora. The property is located at the southwest corner of Coolidge Avenue and George Brown Plaza, SCTM# 0100-182-01-10&11, in the hamlet of Amityville, Babylon Town, Suffolk County on Ketcham's River and Essex Lagoon.

Applicant proposes to construct a 30' x 37' solid fill deck on west side of existing wharf, to be backfilled with 500 cubic yards of clean fill;the paved deck will contain drainage pools capable of storing min. of 2" of runoff. An existing access ramp and pilings will be removed from the east side of the whart and relocated to the north side of the proposed deck to provide vehicular access on and off the ferry. The applicant also proposes construction of a 20' x 55' fixed steel ramp and pilings to be located on the east side of the wharf in the same area as the existing ramp which will be removed. An existing concrete ramp landward of the bulkhead will be extended. The project is located 102 West Broadway, Port Jefferson, Town of Brookhaven.

Applicant proposes to subdivide a 0.96 acre parcel into two lots. On Lot "A" a single family dwelling and septic system will be constructed. The dwelling will be located 55' from a regulated fresh water wetland and the sanitary system will be installed at 105 feet from the boundary. Lot "B" proposes a single family dwelling to be located more than 100' from the fresh water wetland with the limit of clearing and distrubance shown at 50' from the boundary.      The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five-year period, maintaining the current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of 600 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Connetquot River.

     Additional information including the current permit, renewal applications, and supporting documentation may be obtained from or inspected at the NYSDEC central office in Albany. The Department has drafted a permit pursuant to Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the NYS Environmental Conservation Law(ECL) and the Title V of the Federal Clean Air Act Amendments, and made a tentative determination to approve this application for the applicant's existing commercial printing facility. The facility utilizes conventional offset lithographic printing presses for coating and printing on paper and paper board. Operations also include ultraviolet curing and pre-press activities. The facility is using compliant fountain solutions for printing.
