Project Description:

The applicant proposes the placement of rip rap along 160 linear feet of Coeymans Creek to prevent further erosion of the applicants property just northwest of the NYS Route 396 bridge in the town of Bethlehem. The stone rip rap will consist of boulders with an average size of 3' - 5' that will be placed to a height of 6' along the streambank, including the placement of 0.40 cubic yards of fill per linear foot below the ordinary high water mark.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Feb 2 2001.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct a new 42,000 square foot recreational vehicle retail facility on a 29 acre site, with approximately 15 acres developed for parking and display of vehicles. The site preparation work will require the filing of approximately 1.18 acres of federal wetlands, and 1.21 acres of new wetlands to be created as mitigation. The site is located on the south site of NYS Route 5s approximately 1 1/2 miles west of Amsterdam.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.
SEQR Lead Agency: Florida Town Planning Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
