Public Notice

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF THE FINAL TOTAL MAXIMUM DAILY LOAD ANALYSIS (TMDL) TO ACHIEVE WATER QUALITY STANDARDS FOR DISSOLVED OXYGEN IN LONG ISLAND SOUND, DECEMBER 2000.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), with the cooperation of the State of Connecticut and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), has completed its Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) to achieve water quality standards for dissolved oxygen in Long Island Sound. This notice announces the availability of the Final TMDL for Dissolved Oxygen in Long Island Sound which was submitted to the USEPA on January 8, 2001 for approval. The notice also announces the availability of the Response to the Public Comments, dated December 2000, on NYSDEC's Dissolved Oxygen proposed TDML for Long Island Sound, in November 1999.

Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town Board of the Town of Milan, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Zoning Amendments Regulating Wireless Communications Facilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amending the Town of Milan zoning law to regulate Wireless Communications Facilities in the Town of Milan. The project is townwide.

Ulster County - The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Marbletown, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Special Use Permit - Veronica's Gardens, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of greenhouses, for retail sale of plants, on a 3.1 acre parcel in an A-2 Residential District. The project is located at 110 County Route 2 approximately one mile from U.S. Highway 209, Stone Ridge, New York.

Recission of Negative Declaration and Issuance of Positive Declaration

Westchester County- The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New Rochelle City Schools, Control Number, 66-11-00-01-001-008, may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves additions and alterations to the existing school. The project is located at 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Westchester County - The Planning Board of the Town of Yorktown, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Croton Heights Area Rezoning Study. The action involves several zoning map changes and two zoning text changes which create a new Farmland Preservation Overlay District and a Country Commercial District. The Croton Heights rezoning study area consists of approximately 52

1 parcels within a 3.28 square mile area in the southeast portion of the Town of Yorktown.
