Richmond County - The New York Power Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Pouch Terminal will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction and operation of a new gas turbine facility, producing 47 megawatts of power. The facility will consists of one GE LM6000 gas turbine, which shall fire only natural ga and utilize a selective catalytic reduction unit to minimize emissions of oxides of nitrogen. The gas turbine shall operate as a simple cycle unit, employing a spray intercooling system to optimize power output. The Department of Environmental Conservation will hold a Legislative Public Hearing on this project. New York City County (Bronx) - The New York City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chapel Farm I & II may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The project involves Chapel I for the construction of a 1-family house in a designated Natural Area, and Chapel Farm II, which is the proposed construction of 18 single-family, detached homes also in a designated Natural Area. The project is located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.

|Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS and Public Hearing|
New York County - The New York State Urban Development Corporation d/b/a Empire State Development Corporation, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New York Stock Exchange New Facility. A public hearing will be held on Monday, January 8, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Alexander Hamilton United States Custom House, One Bowling Green, New York, New York. Written comments on the FEIS will be accepted by ESDC until January 12, 2001. The action involves the development of a new, state-of-the-art trading facility for the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE"). Above the trading facility, a commercial office tower development is proposed. The NYSE facility would comprise approximately 600,000 gross square feet and the tower approximately 1.3 million gross square feet. The proposed project would retain the NYSE in the lower Manhattan financial district and create much needed new Class A office space. The project is located on the entire block bounded by Broad, Wall and William Streets and Exchange Place in lower Manhattan, New York (Tax block 26, lots 1, 14 and 21).
