Negative Declaration

Orleans County - The Town of Shelby, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water District No. 7 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of 22,000 l.f. of 12 inch watermain along portions of Hoffman, Shelby Basin and Salt Works Roads and Route 31E. Water is to be supplied by the Village of Medina. The project will provide public water to approximately 62 potential users dependent on poor wells. The project is located on portions of Hoffman, Shelby Basin and Salt Works Roads and Route 31E, Town of Shelby.

Steuben County - The Town of Bath, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Buck Meadows Estates will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the construction of a 52-lot single family residence housing development located on a 44.702 acre parcel. The project is located on East Washington Street Extension, Bath.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Steuben County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has accepted a draft EIS on the proposed Smith Hill Road (Scudder) Sand and Gravel Pit, Dalrymple Gravel and Contracting Company, Inc. A public comment period ends on January 31, 2001. The action involves the development of a 112 acre sand and gravel mine on a 313 acre parcel. The project is located on Smith Hill Road in the Town of Erwin, Steuben County and is bounded on the north by Smith Hill Road, the east by the Cohocton River, and the south and west by a very steep wooded hillside.
