Project Description: The applicant proposes to remove and replace 202 linear feet of bulkhead in the same location, construct 14 linear feet of new bulkhead across the entrance to one boat slip, dredge 10 feet off shore of the existing bulkhead and within the area of the second slip to a depth of 4 feet below apparent low water. Resultant 22 cubic yards of dredged material will be added to 318 cubic yards of clean sand for backfilling the bulkhead which will be installed 2 feet higher than the existing bulkhead. Remove the existing boathouse and install two 20 foot bulkhead returns and a 4-pile boat lift. The project is located at 348 Ocean Avenue, Village of Amityville, Babylon Town, SCTM #101-13-16-7.3. |
