Multiple Counties - The New York Power Authority, as lead agency, has determined that its proposed In-City Generation Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact and does not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). The project involves the siting, installation and operation of ten new single-cycle combustion turbines at a number of independent sites within the New York metropolitan area. The proposed action constitutes a Type I action under SEQRA.
The single-cycle, natural gas turbines to be installed will be GE LM6000 units, and will be equipped with selective catalytic reduction devices to reduce NOx emissions. The Authority proposes to install these units at Hell Gate (Locust Avenue between East 132nd and East 134th Street) and the Harlem River Yards in the Bronx, North 1st Street (fronting on River Street between North 1st and Grand Street) and 23rd Street and 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn, Vernon Boulevard (between West 43rd Avenue and the Queensboro Bridge) in Queens and on the western portion of the Pilgrim Psychiatric Hospital Site in Brentwood in Suffolk County.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft Supplemental Generic EIS|
Nassau County - The Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a draft supplemental generic EIS on the proposed Local Law Amending the Zoning Law and Zoning Map of the Incorporated Village of Roslyn and adoption of a Comprehensive Master Plan for the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. Comments on the Draft Supplemental Generic EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until 4:00 p.m. on December 19, 2000. The action consists of the following parts: (1) The creation of new zoning districts and the modification of existing zoning districts within the Village; (2) the rezoning of certain properties on the Village Zoning Map; (3) various amendments to the Code text, regarding, but not limited to, signs, parkings, satellite dishes, open sstorageand review procedures; and (4) the adoption of a Comprehensive Master Plan or the Village.

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a draft generic EIS on the proposed Local Law of Code Amendments for the Preservation of Agricultural Parcels. A public hearing on the draft generic EIS will be held on Friday, December 8, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall, 16 Hampton Road, Southampton, New York 11968. The proposed code amendments are intended to preserve farmland and protect the business of farming. The project is located in the Town of Southampton.
