The Genesee County Water Resources Agency has submitted a water supply application to fulfill a County - wide strategy of providing drinking water to areas in Genesee County. The source of supply will be Lake Erie via the Erie County Water Authority ( ECWA) and Lake Ontario via the Monroe County Water Authoriy (MCWA). The ECWA will provide up to an average of 700,000. gallons per day (gpd) and the MCWA will provide up to an average of 5,969,809 gpd of treated water over the planning period. The ECWA at this time will serve areas in the Town of Pembroke and Darien. The MCWA will serve areas in the Towns of Byron, Bergen, Leroy, Stafford and Oakfield. Later phases of the project will extend water to other areas in Genesee County. A draft water supply permit and additional project information is available for review.

Applicant proposes to construct a 63,000 sf medical office building with plans for 420 parking spaces on a 6.3 acre site along the south side of Senator Keating Boulevard opposite Neu Lac DeVille Blvd. The project will fill an abandoned ditch on the project site and construction of a stormwater detention pond upstream of the relocated ditch and the building. Compliance with the Department's Stormwater SPDES General Permit for Construction Activities will be a performance standard for the issuance of the 401 Water Quality Certification.

Applicant proposes to construct a 15 lot residential subdivision on 24.8 acres of land called Thomas Park Subdivision in the Town of Perinton, Monroe County. Project is located at 1722 East Whitney Rd. Work will involve the construction of a stormwater detention/retention pond within the 100 ft. adjacent area of NYS Freshwater Wetland PR-1 (I). Town of Perinton has agreed to accept 10.9 acres of area as "Open Space". The applicant's agent has certified that the project is consistent with the Department's Stormwater SPDES General Permit for Construction Activities. Restrictive Covenant is proposed to include remaining wetland/adjacent area and includes the Limited Development District designated by the Town of Perinton.

The applicant proposes to develop and operate an unconsolidated sand and gravel pit. The mine will operate as a traditional surface extraction of sand and gravel by mechanized equipment standard for these types of mining operations. Materials will be processed using screening; no mining will occur below the local water table. This site has been historically used to mine gravel at volumes that did not require a DEC mining permit. Final reclamation will restore the site to agricultural use. The Life of Mine area is 23.4 acres. The mine is located west of NYS Route 226 near the intersection of Brace Hill Road, approximately 2 miles south of the hamlet of Tyrone in the Town of Tyrone, Schuyler County. Lamoka Lake lies approximately 1500 feet to the northwest of the proposed mine. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the Regional Office of NYS DEC.

The applicant proposes to construct a +/- 1 acre open water pond on his property west of Yellow Mills Road. The project site is in NYS regulated wetland MA-35, 1,5000 ft. west of Yellow Mills Road, approximately 1,700 ft. south of the Magog Road intersection. The excavated pond will be partially in the wetland adjacent area and will result in the creation of additional wetland open water habitat. Material removed during construction will be placed outside the regulated area, and disturbed ground will be stabilized and revegetated.
