Negative Declaration

Cattaraugus County - The Franklinville Village Board and Franklinville Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Town and Village of Franklinville Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Comprehensive Plan for the Town and Village includes an inventory of existing conditions as well as Policies and Actions recommended to be undertaken to achieve community goals. Specific components of the Plan are: Historic Features, Community Facilities and Services, Infrastructure, Transportation, Population, Housing, Land Use, Environment, and the Economy. The project is located in the Village and Town of Franklinville.

Erie County - The Town of Orchard Park Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Eagle Heights Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the construction of a 78-lot subdivision on 85 acres of vacant land. The project in the Town of Orchard Park.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Niagara County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, as lead agency, has accepted a draft EIS on the proposed Niagara Gorge Access Project. A public hearing on the draft EIS will be held on December 14, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Visitor Center, Niagara Reservation, Niagara Falls, NY. The public comment period ends on January 12, 2001. The project calls for renovation and improvement of visitor access to the base of the gorge at Niagara Falls. Two elevators are proposed to be added to the existing observation tower. The project also calls for the reduction in height of the tower and design changes to reduce the extent of its visual impact on the surrounding area. The project is located at the Niagara Reservation State Park, Niagara Falls.
