Negative Declaration

Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Washington North, as lead agency has determined that the proposed adoption of a proposed local law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves adoption of a proposed local law to amend Ordinance I, the Building Zone Ordinance, to re-zone the premises known as Section 4 Block Q Lot 227. The project is located in the Incorporated Village of Port Washington North.

Suffolk County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed NY 27 Bikepath will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a two way facility for bicycles and pedestrians. The project is located along the north side of NY 27 between Connetquot Avenue and Oakdale-Bohemia Road in the Town of Islip.

Positive Declaration with Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Hazard Board of Review, Southampton Coastal Erosion, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Jay Goldberg and Mary Cirillo may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public hearing will be held on January 4, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, New York 11968. The action involves the appeal from Coastal Erosion Hazard Area Administrator's denial of a Coastal Erosion Hazard Area ("CEHA") permit to allow two geotextile tubes measuring 80 feet in length to remain permanently with the primary dune line on ocean fronting. The project is located at Bridgehampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Roslyn, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Local Law Amendment. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Monday, November 27, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. at 1200 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn, New York. The action involves a proposed Local Law Amending the Zoning Law and Zoning Map of the Incorporated Village of Roslyn and adoption of a Comprehensive Master Plan for the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. The project is located in the Village of Roslyn, New York.

A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Friday, December 8, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall, 16 Hampton Road, Southampton, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted by the Town Clerk at Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, New York 11968, for no less than ten (10) days following the public hearing or adjourned date of it. The proposed code amendments will reduce density and increase the percentage of open space required for certain agricultural parcels with an emphasis on preserving parcels that are over ten acres. The other changes to the code are intended to be incentive based and consists of an optional transfer development rights program, an expedited review process for a conservation opportunities subdivision and an optional Term Agricultural Easement. The project is located in the Town of Southampton.
