The applicant proposes a 3 acre sand and gravel mine located on a 287 acre parcel of land. The depth of the proposed pit will average less than 25 feet with a maximum depth of excavation not to exceed 45 feet. Excavation will be with a front end loader or a excavator, the material will be transported off site for use at local construction sites. There may be an occasional need for on-site processing with a portable screen or crusher.
