New York City County (Manhattan) - The New York City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 41st Street Accessory Garage will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a request for a Special Permit from the City Planning Commission, pursuant to ZR Section 13-561, to operate a 77-space, attended parking garage (58 spaces without lifts and 19 spaces on hydraulic lifts) with accessory to the existing Cipriani catering facility. The catering facility is situated on the first floor and mezzanine of the 20-story, former Bowery Savings Bank building (a New York City designated landmark building). The project is a through lot with frontage on 42nd Street and 41st Street and located between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
New York City County (Queens) - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Glen Oaks School Campus. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2000, at 3:30 p.m. at Benjamin Cardozo High School, 5700 223rd Street, Bayside, Queens. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until Saturday, December 2, 2000. The action involves the site selection, acquisition, acceptance of construction funding, and construction of two primary/intermediate schools serving students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and one high school serving students from grades 9 through 12. The project is located on the block bounded by the Grand Central Parkway to the north, Commonwealth Boulevard to the east, Union Turnpike to the south, and the Cross Island Parkway to the west in the borough of Queens.
