Project Description: The Department has made a tentative determination to modify the applicant's existing permit. Modifications to the permit include updating the monitoring requirements, discharge limits and parameters to reflect current regulatory requirements and operating information. In addition the permit is being modified to eliminate the requirement to monitor for nitrofurans since the process that generated them was removed from the site in the late 1970's and Discharge Monitoring Reports reviewed back to 1987 revealed no detectable values. Finally, a number of administrative changes are also being made to the permit. A draft permit is available to review by contacting the contact person listed below. |
