Cattaraugus County - The City of Olean Common Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Olean Water Filtration Plant will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action is the construction of a new water filtration plant in the City of Olean, on approximately 3.5 acres of land owned by the City of Olean. The new plant will supply water to the City of Olean residences, industrial and commercial establishments. The project proposal includes the acquisition of two residential properties located on River Street and the demolition of these two residences. The City of Olean has also committed to relocating the playground from its current location to a nearby site that the City of Olean will acquire. The proposed construction site is located in the northeastern section of the City of Olean, on River Street off of the North Union Street Extension and Southwest of the current location of the Water Treatment Plant.

Erie County - The Town of Lancaster, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Uniland Development Company will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the rezoning of approximately 128 acres of land from AR-Agricultural Residential and RCO-Residential Commercial Office to LI-Light Industrial, and the construction of a total of 2,000,000 sq. ft. light industrial facilities. The project is located on the northwest corner of Walden Avenue and pavement road, running north to the southwest corner of Pavement Road and Pleasant View Drive in the Town of Lancaster.

This document will provide planning information and guiding principles, goals, and objectives to direct future development in the Town of Lewiston. The purpose of the comprehensive plan is to maintain and enhance the quality of life for residents and their neighborhoods while exploring future opportunities through sensitively designed development giving consideration to the social and economic welfare of the town and its residents. The projects located is applicable to the entire Town of Lewiston.
