New York City (Kings) County - The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fresh Creek Interim Floatables Containment Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. NYCDEP proposes the on-going operation and maintenance of the Floatables Net-Collection System at the Fresh Creek Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Facility located at the head end of Fresh Creek, a tributary of Jamaica Bay in the East New York section of southeastern Brooklyn located in Community Board #18.

The action involves the construction of 80 units of affordable housing in 2 to 6-story structures,
a 27,500 square foot community facility and 31 accessory, on-site parking spaces to serve the development. The project is located in Brooklyn, New York, Community District #4.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS and Public Hearing
New York City (Queens) County - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Glen Oaks School Campus. A public hearing on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be held on November 15, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Benjamin Cardozo High School, 5700 223rd Street, Bayside Queens. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be addepted until November 30, 2000. The action involves:
Increase in project site area to 19.3 acres, with total acquisition of 32.7 acres;
Proposal of 760 seat P.S./I.S 266-Q instead of 704 seat P.S. 266-Q;
Proposal of 925 seat P.S./I.S. 208-Q instead of 1,002 seat I.S. 208-Q;
Proposal that P.S./I.S. 266-Q and P.S./I.S. 208-Q be administered by the Chancellor's School District instead of Community School Districts 26 and 29, respectively;
Proposal that the H.S. of Teaching Professions provide 1,182 seats instead of 1,153 seats; and
Proposed vehicular access from Union Turnpike instead of Commonwealth Blvd.
The project is located at 78-70 Grand Central Parkway North, Queens.
