Project Description:

The applicant proposes to eliminate two boat slips by installing 12 foot and 9 foot sections of new bulkhead across the entrances of the slips and filling the slips with 110 cubic yards of clean fill and 25 cubic yards of dredged material resulting from the dredging of a 10 foot by 55 foot area to a depth of 4 feet below mean low water. Approximately 591 square feet of shoals, mudflats and littoral zone will be lost. The project is located at 3952 South Street on Seaford Creek, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
