Project Description: In Kings county, at the facility located at 548 Varick Street, add a 129' x 255' portion of Block 2806, Lot 1, to the presently permitted facility. This portion of Lot 1 (which is adjacent to and southeast of the presently permitted facility, and which extends to the northwest corner of Cherry Street and Stewart Avenue) would be used to store empty containers and install and operate a scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks. The remaining portion of Lot 1 (which extends to the northeast corner of Cherry Street and Varick Street) is occupied by a supporting structure for an exit ramp from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and would not be used in association with the facility. The facility's permitted capacity would remain unchanged. |

Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct a stone dust path, a maximum of 10 feet wide, for bicycles and pedestrians within the Amundsen Trail and Latourette Park linking the Gateway National Recreation Area at Great Kills Park with Historic Richmondtown and the Staten Island Mall. The work includes construction of an 8 foot wide pre-fabricated steel pedestrian bridge to cross Richmond Creek on St. George Road between Ascot and Aultman Avenues, replacement of an existing concrete bridge crossing Richmond Creek on St. Patricks Avenue between St. Andrews and Richmond Road and construction of a new 8 foot wide pre-fabricated timber bridge crossing Richmond Creek within Richmondtown. Portions of the proposed path are within or adjacent to NYSDEC regulated Freshwater Wetlands AR-3 (Richmond Creek), AR-4 (Latourette), AR-32 (Latourette Park West). |
