New York County - The New York City Department of Sanitation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed reconstruction of Manhattan Community Districts 4/4A/7 Garage Complex will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of the existing Manhattan Community Districts 4/4A/7 Sanitation Garage Complex and inactive incinerator. A multistory replacement garage complex will be constructed on the current building footprint and on an adjacent approximately 10,000 square foot lot. The project is located at 786 Twelfth Avenue, New York, New York. The garage will extend from West 55th Street to West 57th Street and will span above a portion of West 56th Street. The project site encompasses Block 1103, Lots 10 and 44 and Block 1104, Lot 1.
