Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Huntington Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Beechwood at Half Hollow Woods [Subdivision] will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a request for a modified subdivision of a 52.14 acre cabbage farm in an R-40 Residence District Zone into forty-five (45) lots for the subsequent construction of new single-family homes, a 2.10 acre recharge basin; 4.73 acres of roadway; 2.00 acres of recreation area; 2.0 acres of open space and 3.0 acres for dedication as Town parkland. Public water connection and sewage disposal via subsurface septic systems is proposed. The project is located on the east and west sides of Old East Neck Road, 237.15 feet south of Half Hollow Road in Half Hollow Hills, designated as parcels 0400-269-01-11.2 & 21 on the Suffolk County Tax Map.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Woodfiled Gables Golf Course and Conference Center may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft EIS must be prepared. The project involves the change of zone of an 160.6 acre parcel from CR-200 and CR-60 to PDD-RTPD. The project is located on the north side of Old Country Road and west of Speonk-Riverhead Road in the unincorporated hamlet of Speonk, Town of Southampton.

Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of East Hampton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold public hearings on Tuesday, October 24, 2000 starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, NY on the following proposals:

1) Proposal by Frank Cerbini and Christopher O'Brien for the construction of a 3,836 sq. ft. two-story residence located on North Filmore Road, Montauk.

2) Proposal by Big Green Construction Corp. for the construction of an 18 ft. by 36 ft. swimming pool located on Laura's Lane, East Hampton.
