Westchester County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Town Board of the Town of Somers, as lead agency has determined that the Amawalk-Shenorock Water District Extension No. 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves a proposal to extend the Amawalk-Shenorock Water District to approximately 16 properties. The project is located north of Route 6 on Mahopac Avenue in the Town of Somers.

Orange County - The Planning Board of the Town of Cornwall, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Capital Self-Storage Site Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a request for site plan approval for a 98,100 square foot self storage facility with 1,200 square foot accessory office on a 15.58-acre portion of a 116.88 acre tract of land in the PIO (Planned Industrial Office) zoning district in the Town of Cornwall. The project is located east of the Woodbury Creek, west side of NYS Rt. 32 South of Mountainville.

Ulster County - The State University Construction Fund, as lead agency has determined that the proposed construction of the Athletic Center may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on October 19, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at The Lecture Center, Room 102, State University College at New Paltz, New Paltz, New York. The action involves. construction of an athletic facility that will include a 1073-seat ice hockey facility; 8000 sq.ft. wellness center; 2040-seat 3-court performance gym; and construction of a 6000-seat aquatic center. The action includes relocation of existing athletic track; construction of a parking lot; removal of existing tennis "bubble" structure; new structure to cover 6 of 9 existing tennis courts; construction of a new road off Rte 208 to provide access for construction vehicles but subsequently developed as a main access road; creation of a new stormwater management area downstream from existing campus pond; construction of a small stormwater management area towards Southside Ave; and construction of a new water line from Rte 32 to the athletic facility that will continue to Rte 208. The project is located at the State University College at New Paltz.
