Project Description: The applicant proposes to mine gravel from three gravel bars in Angelica Creek with no on-site material processing and stockpiling. The installation of erosion control measures consisting of filling, shaping, rip-rap installation and vegetation (willow wattle) plantings to stabilize eroding stream banks, is also proposed. Two existing farm lanes that access Old State Road and Camp Road, respectively, will be used as haul roads and two stream vehicle crossing sites are planned. A total of 11.92 acres of land will be affected. The reclamation objective is to provide an unobstructed flood plain with stabilized stream banks. The stream reach is between Camp Road and the mouth of Angelica Creek at the Genesee River. |

Project Description: The applicant proposes a ten acre addition to the Pavement West (Mine) Site, currently permitted for 19 acres. It is proposed to continue mining below the ground water table. This will result in a lake with a total size of 39 acres, which includes the 9.4 acre pre-existing pond and the currently approved lake excavation together with the addition proposed. No other changes in mine operating procedures, and reclamation plans are included. The mine is located at 324 Pavement Road and the addition is located along the east and west boundaries of the existing mine. |
