Notice of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Environmental Assessment and Comment Period
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC or Commission) has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) on the underground natural gas storage project proposed by Central New York Oil and Gas Company, LLC (CNYOG) in the Towns of Owego and Nichols in Tioga County. The proposed project, known as the Stagecoach Storage Project, has been assigned FERC docket numbers CP00-61-000, CP00-62-000 and CP00-63-000. The EA assesses the potential environmental effects of the construction and operation of CNYOG's proposed underground gas storage facilities and related pipeline facilities proposed by Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company.
The EA and related DEC permit application documents are available for review at the Division of Mineral Resources office at 50 Wolf Road in Albany and at the Region 7 Division of Environmental Permits office on Fisher Avenue in Cortland. The EA has also been placed in the public files of the FERC. Madison County - The New York State Police, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Shared-Resource Public Safety & Wireless Communications Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves installation of a Shared-Resource Public Safety & Wireless Communications Facility consisting of a 180 foot tall, multi-user, multi-purpose lattice tower and related equipment shelters upon a 75 foot by 75 foot equipment compound. The project is located on the northeastern corner at Route 5 in the City of Oneida.

Onondaga County - The Planning Board of the Town of Manlius, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Brinan Fields Subdivision and Zone Change will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves subdivision of 40 acres of Restricted Agricultural land into 34 single-family lots and obtain a zone change to Residential 1. The project is located on the east side of NYS Route 92, between Enders Road and the Town of Manlius boundary, Town of Manlius.

Onondaga County - The Village of Tully, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed purchase by the Village of Tully of land from the Banner Trust and Joan Banner will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 139 acres currently owned by the Banner Trust and Joan Banner. The project is located in the Town of Tully.
