ENB - REGION 1 NOTICES
The Department has determined that the record of noncompliance with the Environmental Conservation Law ("ECL") and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder at 6 NYCRR, as enforced by the Department, constitutes grounds for revocation of the DEC Part 364 Waste Transporter Permit 1A-620 issued to Stephanie Force Waste Tire Management Corp., 611 Center Bay Drive, West Islip, NY 11795. Waste transporter permit 1A-620 had authorized the transport of waste tires. The permittee has surrendered this permit and the Department has revoked this permit effective August 30, 2000. The permittee is no longer licensed or permitted to handle such waste.

Suffolk County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed acquisition, demolition and reconstruction at 41 Sunken Meadow Road in the Kings Park Central School District, SED Project No. 58-08-05-06-0-006-011, may have a significant environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared.
The action involves the purchase of 1.01 acre of land adjacent to existing property and demolition of existing structure. The project is located in the town of Smithtown.

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Site Plan Application of Brookhaven Town Center may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves construction of a regional shopping mall consisting of 1,043,350 sq. ft. of retail area and a 2,948-seat theater in two structures, totaling 1,293,000 sq. ft., with 5,264 parking spaces and an on-site recharge basin. The project is located on the northwestern corner, LIE North Service Road/William Floyd Parkway interchange, Yaphank, New York.

|Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Land Division and Site Plan Application of Extended Stay America Medford Hotel. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 25, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Building 4, Brookhaven Town Offices, 3233 Route 112, Medford, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 6, 2000. The action involves construction of a three-story, 16, 032 sq. ft. extended-stay hotel on 5 acres of a 26.4-acre parcel. The project is located on Horseblock Road in Medford, New York.
