Franklin County - A public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Santa Clara on September 21, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at District #2 Town Hall, Route 30, Saranac Lake, New York (at Saranac Inn), regarding the adoption of a Local Law of the Town of Santa Clara for the Year 2000 which would promote the health, safety and general welfare of the community by establishing comprehensive controls for the development of land in the Town of Santa Clara.
The environmental significance of the proposed Local Law will be reviewed by the Town Board of the Town of Santa Clara as part of the public hearing. Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for review at Town of Santa Clara, District #2 Town Hall, Saranac Lake, New York (at Saranac Inn); Town of Santa Clara, District #1 Town Hall, Santa Clara, New York; and Caroline Hickok, Route 30, Fish Creek Ponds, Saranac Inn, New York.
Saratoga County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Moe Road-Grooms Road at NY 146 project, PIN #1753.44.121, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the widening of the existing 3.0 m (10 ft.) travel lanes to 3.3 m (11 ft.); the construction of left turn lanes along Moe Road, Grooms Road and Clifton Park Center Road where necessary; and the construction of a 3.0 m (10 ft.) multi-use path on the east side of the road to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists. The project is located at Moe Road at its intersection with Grooms Road in the Town of Clifton Park and proceeds north on Moe Road approximately 3.0 kilometers (1.9 miles) and ends at the intersection of Moe Road and NYS Route 146.

Essex County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Village of Port Henry, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Port Henry Safe Drinking Water Act Improvements, DLWSRF Project # 15795, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. For Adirondack Park Agency, comment period ends September 27, 2000. The project involves greater-than-25% expansion of Major Public Utility: proposed improvements to the Village of Port Henry water system including construction of 46' x 60' x 26' water filtration building, a 90' diameter by 21.6' high above-ground covered concrete water storage tank, and approximately 340 linear feet of replacement water transmission pipe immediately adjacent to wetlands associated with Stony and McKenzie Brooks along NYS Route 22 & 9N. The project is located off Stone Road and Mill Brook, main pipeline along NYS Route 9N/22 at crossing of Stony and McKenzie Brooks.
