Project Description: The applicant proposes to construct a gravel access road along the landward toe of a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorized dike (Long Sault Dike #1) for maintenance and to protect the integrity of the dike which is one of several dikes constructed as part of the St. Lawrence Power Project to impound the St. Lawrence River. The proposed roadway would be approximately 1770' long x 25' wide (at base). Approximately 1 acre of regulated freshwater wetland MA-1, a 64.4 acre Class II mixed marsh and forested wetland. |
