Construction of a new riverside park on the south shore of the Mohawk River in Canajoharie, where NY Route 10 crosses the river, as part of the Canal Corridor Initiative. Construction will include 286 feet of floating docks, a 28 x 40 feet concrete boat launch, shoreline rip rap, and the demolition and removal of the existing concrete boat ramp on a class "B" waterway.

The applicant proposes to reestablish the original channel of Hayden Creek to redirect high flows away from agricultual buildings and control erosion and runoff of barnyard wastes. An existing berm will be extended approximately 100 feet and the existing channel will be filled. Project is located within Freshwater Wetland ES-4, just south of the State Route 80 and State Route 20 intersection.

The applicant proposes to stabilize 450 feet of the banks of the PostenKill with stone riprap and/or concrete slabs to prevent further erosion. The site is located at 38 Brunswick Road, adjancent to the PostenKill Creek, in the City of Troy, Rensselaer County.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a modification to an existing SPDES permit. The modification involves changing Outfall 1 (discharging 12,060 gpd) from surface discharge to subsurface, adding a second outfall for the discharge of backwash water from the water treatment system, and improvements and upgrades to the sand filter system. The project is located at the Schodack Island State Park, Route 9J, Castleton, Rensselaer County. A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the Regional Office. SPDES #NY0260941

The applicant proposes to construct a new store with associated parking area on the west side of Freemans Bridge Road. Approximately 1.59 acres of federal wetlands will be filled as part of the project. Approximately 2.25 acres of new wetlands will be created as mitigation for the filling and 8.63 aces of land will be reserved as a preservation area.
