Project description: Municipal water system improvements involving construction of a 46 ft. by 60 ft. water filtration building and a 53 ft. diameter, 31 ft. high concrete water storage tank at the Town Reservoir and construction of another 53 ft. diameter, 31 ft. high concrete water storage tank and installation of 12 inch diameter water transmission line between Springfield Road and the tank site at the Heyman Property.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Washington County - The Washington County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Washington County Jail Site Selection Study. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 14, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington County Municipal Center, 383 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until September 25, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. The action involves the selection of a site for the location of a new Washington County Jail; the selection of a size or capacity for the Washington County Jail; and subsequent construction and operation of the jail facility at the selected site and approved size. Four sites are currently under consideration with one each in the Town of Salem, the Town of Kingsbury, the Town of Fort Edward at the existing County municipal center, and the Town of Hudson Falls.
