Project Description:
 Install 50 feet of eight inch sewer main across Philomel Creek (Wetland BV-4), including excavation of 28 cubic yards of material, placement of 78 cubic yards bedding material, installation of 200 square feet bedding geotexile material and 75 cubic yards of clean stone. Crossing is located on Rte. 37 approximately 2000 feet south of Rte. 342 intersection, in the Town of Pamelia, Jefferson County.

Project Description:
 The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the application for a new SPDES permit for two existing discharges of landfill leachate and surface runoff to the Black River from a closed landfill owned and operated by Champion International Corporation in the Village of Deferiet in Jefferson County. The paper mill adjacent to the landfill was sold and the existing SPDES permit #NY0001775 for the facility was transferred to the Deferiet Paper Company. Champion will maintain the two outfalls associated with the closed landfill.
