The applicant has requested a modification to his mining permit to allow the permanent use of a single stage primary jaw rock crusher (Eagle, 15"x36" jaw size) with a design capacity of less than 150 tons/hour at the permitted mine site off NYS Rte 9 near Deerhead. The proposed crusher will be located within the approved 25 acre life of mine acreage and will only be authorized to operate within the previously established mine operation hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The applicant has also applied for a modification to his Adirondack Park Agency permit (APA # 99-47) issued on June 24, 1999. The application can be reviewed by making an appointment with the contact person.

Fill and grade approximately 2 acres of freshwater wetland F-7 (class II) to construct roads and related infrastructure in conjunction with development of a new subdivision known as Hemlock Hollow Estates.

Excavate potholes and ditches within an approximately 2 acre portion of freshwater wetland Q-36 (class II) to create and enhance waterfowl habitat within the area.

The applicant proposes to straighten and raise the elevation of a farm road across Black Creek to prevent frequent flooding. Approximately 144 cubic yards of gravel fill will be utilized in the buffer of Wetland W-5 (Class I) to raise the road elevation 2.5 feet to match existing culvert height. The project is located at 7147 Route 22, between the north and south ends of Grimes Hill Road, in the Town of Hebron.

The applicant proposes to rip-rap approximately 100 linear feet of scoured stream bank on White Creek to repair existing damage and prevent further erosion and damage to cropland. Gravel skimmed from an existing gravel bar will be utilized to restore the slope of the bank. The project is located off of Route 153, just south of the Beattie Road intersection, in the Town of Salem.

The applicant proposes to restore and reshape approximately 75 feet of the eroding bank of Little White Creek. Material skimmed from an existing gravel bar will be used to restore the stream bank. Sections of concrete 10" to 30" in diameter salveged from the old Meeting House Road Bridge will be used to rip-rap the reshaped stream bank. The project is located off of County Route 68, approximately 100 feet downstream of the Meeting House Road bridge, in the Town of White Creek.

The applicant proposes to repair and stabilize 100 to 150 linear feet of stream bank along the Owl Kill, by installation of up to 800 yards of rip-rap, to prevent further erosion of Shunpike Road. The project is located in the Town of White Creek, Washington County, south of Shunpike Road, between Turnpike and Cold Spring Roads.
