Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The Town of Mina, as lead agency has determined that the proposed hotel construction at Interstate 86 and Route 426 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a Holiday Inn which consists of an 87-room hotel that will have a footprint area of 15,700 square feet and 34,430 square feet paved parking and driveway. The total proposed area for development is approximately 2.40 acres. The project is located at Interstate 86 and Route 426 in the Town of Mina, New York.

Positive Declaration

Erie County - The City of Lackawanna City Council, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Adoption of the City of Lackawanna Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance and Design Guidelines may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a Comprehensive Plan for the City of Lackawanna which includes goals, policies and actions which will guide the development of the City over the next 20 years. Specific components of the Plan include housing, the economy, land use, recreation/parks, the environment, transportation, infrastructure and community services.

The Zoning Ordinance will be based on the Future Land Use Plan contained in the Comprehensive Plan. The Ordinance will delineate districts in the city that are most appropriate for residential uses, commercial uses, industrial uses and recreation/open space uses. Design guidelines will be developed to enable the City to carry out the objectives of the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance by guiding the physical appearance of new developments in the City. Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Chautaugua County - The Village of Fredonia Board of Trustees, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Feasibility Study for development in the central business district. The action involves a feasibility study that will recommend a development scenario for land along Canadaway Street in the Fredonia central business district. The street is currently residential with some commercial use, the land borders Canadaway Creek as it flows through the Village. Future development will entail demolition of up to 14 residential and commercial buildings to make way for new residential, retail and office uses. A park, play area and creekside trail will be created along the Creek to make this land accessible to the public. The project is located on Canadaway Street, Village of Fredonia.
