Project Description:
 The applicant has applied to the Department for a Standard Activity Permit (SAP) that would authorize specific wetland restoration projects to be carried out in St. Lawrence County under the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) and Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program (PFWP) and the Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program (WHIP). Work would include construction of low earthen berms up to 1000' in length x 6' high x 70' wide, water level control structures, drainage ditch plugs, waterfowl pothole construction and nesting islands, level ditches up to 1000' in length x 25' wide x 5' deep and general habitat vegetation maintenance and enhancement. The permit would not apply to areas within the Adirondack State Park, in Wild, Scenic and Recreational River areas, Critical Environmental Areas or Natural Heritage Archaeological sites where work would negatively impact these resource.
