Notice of Revocation of Waste Transporter Permit 1A-617

The Department has determined that the record of noncompliance with the Environmental Conservation Law ("ECL") and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder at 6 NYCRR, as enforced by the Department, constitutes grounds for revocation of the DEC Part 364 Waste Transporter Permit 1A-617 issued to Island Wide Recycling Industries, Inc., John McDonald, President, 10 Ashland Court, Holtsville, NY 11742. Waste transporter permit 1A-617 had authorized the transport of waste tires. The Department has accordingly revoked this permit effective June 30, 2000. The permittee is no longer licensed or permitted to handle such waste.

Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Planning Board Town of Babylon, as lead agency has determined that the parking lot expansion and property transfer at Oak Beach Inn will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Town proposes to construct a 508 space parking lot addition to Oak Beach parking lot, complete with stormwater drainage structures and landscaping. The project will also include the re-opening of the east and west Ocean Parkway access ramps. The project location is south side of Ocean Parkway, 6,200 ft. west of the Robert Moses Causeway, Oak Beach, New York.

Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Site Plan Application of Greens at Hampton Vista Condo II will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of 45 condominium units, storm drainage, parking, maintenance building and waste disposal facilities. The project is located N/S Clancy Road, Manorville, New York.

Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Site Plan Application of the Center at Centereach will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of an existing shopping center and rebuilding of a new 88,552 square foot shopping center. The project is located S/E/C of Middle Country Road and Holbrook Road.

Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Site Plan Application of Manorville Vistas Sec. 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 36 unit Planned Retirement development with standard site improvements and 11.4 acres deeded to H.O.A as open space. The project is located S/S of C.R. 111, Brookhaven.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Planning Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed River Club Condominium Complex may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction of a 222 unit condominium complex together with clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and dockage on approximately 55.1 acres of land zoned Residence C. The project is located north and south of Riverside Drive, between Brown Street and River Avenue, Riverhead Hamlet and Township.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Village of Huntington Bay, Board of Trustees, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Village of Huntington Bay Local Waterfront Revitalization Program. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 8, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. at the Huntington Town Hall,100 Main Street, Room 114, Huntington, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until September 25, 2000. The action involves the adoption of a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) for the Incorporated Village of Huntington Bay. The LWRP is a comprehensive management plan for the Village's coastal area, which addresses upland issues (e.g., land use and zoning, stormwater management, etc.), water-side issues (e.g., vessel uses, water quality protection, conservation of marine resources, etc.), and issues that pertain to both areas (e.g., visual resources, shoreline structures, etc.). The project is located at the entire Village coastal area.

Suffolk County - The Huntington Town Board, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed AFM Realty of Huntington Corp (#96-ZM-290) a.k.a. /Harborfields Estates. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 26, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Huntington Town Hall, 100 Main Street, Huntington, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 6, 2000. The action involves AFM Realty of Huntington Corp. requesting a change of zone from R-40 Residence District to R-20 Residence District for 39.3 acres. The project is located on the northeast corner of Pulaski and Lake Roads in Greenlawn.

Notice of Acceptance of a Supplemental Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Map of Spring Meadow at Wading River. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 18, 2000. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until September 29, 2000. The action involves the residential cluster development of a 189.09-acre parcel into 165 single-family lots. The project is located south side of Route 25A, the west side of the Brookhaven Town/Riverhead Town border and on the northwest side of Brookhaven State Park in Wading River.
