Project Description:
The Department is considering an application for a facility which will discharge up to 270 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater to an intermittent tributary of Northrup Creek from the proposed sandfilter post-aeration system. The proposal consists of a new two-story building totally 1,730 square feet, a 15-car parking lot, flood storage area, and access road, for the purpose of selling used cars. The proposal, as currently designed, will occupy approximately 17,544 square feet of regulated adjacent area associated with New York State Freshwater Wetland OG-7. The project area is located just south of 2441 South Union Street in the Town of Ogden. The draft SPDES permit is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 Office.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct a 100' x 90' pond partially within the NYS DEC regulated freshwater wetland CG-3 (Class II), in order to enhance wildlife habitat and provide fire protection for the residence. One-half of the pond, which borders soft maple and ash woods, will be approximately 3' deep, and the remaining will reach a depth of 8'. Construction will be accomplished with a bulldozer and backhoe, with the approx. 500 cubic yards of spoil to be spread in upland areas near the pond. Project Description:
The Department has received an application for a Title V Facility Permit for existing processes at the U S Salt Corp - Watkins Glen Refinery, located on Salt Point Road in the Town of Reading, Schuyler County. This salt refinery produces and packages refined salt from nearby brine production operations, and has emission points for three boilers, salt processing and packaging operations, and an incinerator for packaging paper, paperboard, and wood waste. This facility meets the definition of a major stationary source, and is required to obtain a Title V Facility Permit as specified in 6 NYCRR Part 201-6, due to potential emissions in excess of the following Title V applicability thresholds specified in 6NYCRR Part 201-2 and Title V of the Clean Air Act for a Major Stationary Source: 100 tons per year each of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), total particulates, and particulate matter less than 10 microns (PM10). The application and the Draft Title V Facility Permit are available for review at the Region 8 NYSDEC office, and written comments will be accepted. If comments raise significant issues, the Department may hold a public hearing, or modify the Draft Permit. In accordance with 6NYCRR Parts 621.5(d)(9) and 201-6.4(c)(1), EPA has the authority to bar issuance of any Title V Facility Permit determined not to be in compliance with applicable requirements of the Clean Air Act or 6NYCRR Part 201. After the comment period, EPA will be provided with the Proposed Title V Facility Permit, which is the Draft Permit with any modifications after public comment. EPA will then have an additional 45 days for review. After 45 days, the Department may issue the Proposed Permit as a Title V Facility Permit if EPA has raised no objection.

Project Description:
The Town of Corning proposes to operate a new deep water supply well that was previously installed due to emergency drought conditions. The new well is located approximately 50 feet west of, and on the same property as the existing well, located behind the Gate House Motel, off NYS Route 352 West, in the Town of Corning. The new well has a design capacity of 175 gallons per minute, and will replace the existing well (#1) which will be maintained as a backup. The new well will provide an average of 20,000 gallons per day to the Corning Manor Water District. This permit does not extend the boundaries of said district. It is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 Office.
