Project Description:
 The applicant proposes the county-wide application of mosquito larvicides at various sites located within DEC-regulated freshwater wetlands. The mosquito larvicides that will be used include VectoBac G (Active ingredient: Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, EPA Reg. No. 275-50) and VectoLex CG (Active ingredient: Bacillus sphaericus, EPA Reg. No. 275-77). The proposed pesticides are biological control agents that would be applied directly to mosquito breeding habitats. The project is being undertaken to reduce the numbers of mosquitoes that may transmit the West Nile-like virus.

Project Description:
 The applicant proposes to demolish an existing metal building and replace it with a warehouse/workshop and storage shed within the 100- foot adjacent area of DEC Freshwater Wetland AM-8 (Class III). The project site is located on the south side of Powder House Road just west of the intersection with Dutchess County Route 81. The project involves the construction of a warehouse/workshop of 2,400 square feet and storage shed of 280 square feet. A portion of the existing lawn will also be leveled by the placement of 2 feet of fill within 1,300 square feet (0.03 acre) of the 100-foot adjacent area.

Project Description:
 The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a new permit for a surface discharge of 5,000 gallons per day (gpd) of treated sanitary wastewater into an unnamed pond (Class D). The Artificial Wetland Wastewater Treatment System (AWWTS) project will replace a failing septic system and will treat effluent generated by Zumtobel Staff Lighting, Inc. The project involves the construction of four sand filters planted with Reed Canary Grass and a Bio-Assay Pond to provide additional treatment prior to discharge. The Town of Lloyd has extended the Highland Sewer District to include the project site, located east of the intersection of US Highway 9W and Red Top Road in the Town of Lloyd, Ulster County. A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the regional office.

Project Description:
 The Department has received an application for a Title V permit from Grasslands Reservation, Westchester County Department of Public Works, Valhalla, as required under the Federal Clean Air Act and 6NYCRR Part 201. The Department has made a determination to issue the Title V Permit. Regulations applicable to this facility include: 40CFR82F, 40CFR 52.21A, 40CFR 60.48D(c), 6NYCRR 200, 201, 202,211, 227-1,227-2 and 228. Primary SIC code is 9199, (Gen. Gov.). Facility is generally a county office building complex. Air Sources include: four gas/#2 oil fired boilers of 80mmBtu/hr each, 20 diesel emergency generators, research lab hoods, underground storage tanks, and a paint spray booth. This facility accepted a Federally enforceable limits on the sulfur content in the fuel to cap out of PSD requirements. In accordance with 6NYCRR Parts 621.5(d)(9)and 201-6.4(c), the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has the authority to bar issuance of any Title V Facility Permit if it is determined not to be in compliance with the applicable requirements of the Clean Air Act of 6NYCRR Part 201. The Application and Draft Permit are available for review at the Regional Office of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
