Erie County - The Town of Amherst Town Board and the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, as lead agencies have determined that the proposed Amherst State Park Master Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on July 26, 2000, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Main-Transit Fire Hall, 6777 Main Street, Williamsville, New York, 14221. The action involves the preparation of a Master Plan, Management Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement for a 77-acre State Park located in the Town of Amherst. The project is located at 400 Mill Street, Amherst, New York.

|Revised Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS|
Cattaraugus County - Cattaraugus County, as lead agency has accepted a Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New Cattaraugus County Airport. Written comments on the Revised Draft EIS will be accepted until August 5, 2000. The action involves the environmental impacts associated with undertaking the recommended actions for an improved airport as examined in the Airport Master Plan Update including site selection study. The alternatives evaluated included: closing the existing Cattaraugus County-Olean Airport and developing a new airport on a hilltop site situated in the Towns of Little Valley and Salamanca, just north of the City of Salamanca; or extending the runway at the existing Cattaraugus County-Olean Airport located in the Town of Ischua. The project is located approximately 2.5 miles northwest of the junction of US Route 219 and NYS Route 17 in the Towns of Little Valley and Salamanca, in Cattaraugus County.

Erie County - The Town of Amherst Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Brandon Woods Apartments (SP-18-99). The action involves a proposal to construct a 168-unit apartment complex on 17.79± acres of land. Twenty-one (21) apartment buildings are proposed with 11 garages and a clubhouse. A total of 371 parking spaces are proposed, of which 96 are in garages. The project is located at 148 Sunset Court, Town of Amherst, Erie County.
