Negative Declaration

Clinton County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Phelps - Clifton Springs Central School District, SED Project No. 43-13-01-06-0-014-001 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves new construction of an elementary school. The project is located at 1490 Route 488, Clifton Springs, New York.

Livingston County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and addition/alterations to the Middle School in the Dansville Central School District, SED Project No. 24-10-01-06-0-004-008, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 1.5 acres of land adjacent to existing property and 25,000 square feet of new additions. The project is located on Clara Barton Street in the Village of Dansville.

Monroe County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Herbicide Application of Garlon 4 to Control Swallowort in Rush Oak Openings (Monroe #1), Stands B-1, E-1, F-1, G-2 and H-2 will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves treating Swallowort using spot foliar application of 1% solution of Garlon 4 herbicide. Treatment area will be less than one acre. Garlon 4 is considered to be the most effective herbicide currently available to control Swallowort. All work will be completed under direct supervision of certified pesticide applicators, following label directions for this product. The project is located at Rush Oak Openings (Monroe #1), Honeoye Falls.

Monroe County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency has determined that the proposed herbicide application of Accord to control Garlic Mustard, Rush Oak Openings (Monroe #1) Stands C-2, E-1, F-1, G-2, H-2 and I-2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves applying an herbicide application to protect a rare plant community known as an Oak Opening. The target plant species, Garlic Mustard, cannot be controlled by mechanical methods, except when they occur in small population numbers. There are several large populations of Garlic Mustard at this site. The project is located Rush Oak Openings (Monroe #1), Honeoye Falls-5 Pts. Rd., Town of Rush.

Monroe County - The Bureau of Buildings and Zoning City of Rochester, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Community Center Addition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of a portion of an existing recreation center building and the construction of a 20,000 sq. ft. two story addition to the remaining portion of the building. The project is located at 1175 Norton Street, Rochester, New York.

Monroe County - The Town of Perinton Town Board, as lead agency has determined that the proposed West Whitney Road/Lonesome Road Sanitary Sewer Extension will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the West Whitney Road/Lonesome Road Sanitary Sewer Extension Project to install 560 LF of new 8-inch sanitary sewer along the rear property line of 712, 720, and 728 Whitney Road and connect to the existing North Side Relief Sewer. The project is located east of Baird Road and northwest of the Lonesome Road/Whitney Road intersection in the northeastern part of the Town of Perinton.

Monroe County - The Planning Board of the Town of Penfield, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Bramble Ridge Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves preliminary site plan and subdivision approval for the subdivision of 79.678 acres into nineteen single family residential lots and preliminary resubdivision approval to append two acres to an existing single family residential lot. The project is located at 1800 Sweets Corners Road and 3817 Atlantic Avenue, Town of Penfield.

The action involves approximately 120,000 square feet of new construction on existing property. The project is located at 1490 Route 488 in the Town of Phelps.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Chemung County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed acquisitions of land adjacent to the Diven Elementary School in the Elmira City School District, SED Project No. 07-06-00-01-0-006-008. Comments are requested on the Draft EIS and will be accepted by the contact person until July 14, 2000. The action involves the purchase of three separate sites adjacent to existing property in the Town of Elmira. The project location by size is148 acres located at 1102 Grand Central Avenue, .084 acres located at 1104 Grand Central Avenue and .072 acres located at 1106 Grand Central Avenue.
