Negative Declaration

Oswego County - The Planning Board of the Town of Scriba, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Alcan Aluminum Corporation/Recirculated Water Cooling System will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project is located Alcan Aluminum Corporation, 448 County Route 1A, PO Box 28, Town of Scriba.

Tioga County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition for the Candor Central School District SED Project No. 60-03-01-04-0-001-005, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of approximately 2 acres of land adjacent to existing property. The project is located on Academy Street in the Village of Candor.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Oswego County - The Village of Central Square Planning Board, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on July 27, 2000 at 7:00 p.m., at the Central Square High School (P.V. Moore High School), 44 School Drive, Village of Central Square, New York, County of Oswego. Written comments on the Draft EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until August 14, 2000. The action involves the site plan approval and related permits and approvals for the construction and operation of a Wal-Mart Supercenter. The project is located on 44 acres of land located on the north side of NYS Route 49, west of Interstate Route 81 in the Village of Central Square, New York.
