Public Meeting

The Environmental Justice Advisory Group, established by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will be holding the last of four public meetings throughout New York State to solicit comments on environmental justice issues affecting the people of the State of New York. The meeting schedule is as follows:

Negative Declaration

Columbia County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition for the Bus Garage in the Chatham Central School District, SED Project No. 10-10-01-04-4-007-005, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 4 acres of land adjacent to existing property. The project is located at 50 Woodbridge Avenue in the Town of Chatham.

Columbia County - The City of Hudson Common Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed City of Hudson Sidewalks Replacement Extension Project will not have a significant environmental impact. The action involves the removal of existing sidewalks and the replacement of same with new sidewalks designed both for the compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and the maintenance of the Hudson Historic District aesthetics. The project is located along both sides of Warren Street from 2nd Street to Front Street, City of Hudson.

Montgomery County - The State Education Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed land acquisition and construction of a New Bus Garage for the Canajoharie Central School District, SED Project No. 27-03-01-04-4-015-001, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the purchase of 10 acres of land and 20,000 square feet of new construction. The project is located on Carlisle Road in the Village of Canajoharie.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Greene County - The Village of Hunter, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New Sewage Treatment Infrastructure Facilities Program for the Village of Hunter. The action involves the design and construction of a municipal sewage system consisting of a 211,000 gpd (maximum) wastewater treatment plant and approximately 11 miles of collection lines. The project is located in and adjoining the Village of Hunter, New York. The proposed wastewater treatment plant will be located on Village-owned property in the Town of Jewett on State Route 23A immediately adjacent to the Village boundary.
