|Notice of Acceptance of a Draft EIS and Public Hearing|
Cortland County - The Town of Homer Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed FARME Institute, Inc. Dairy Project. A public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be held on July 11, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall in Homer. The action involves the construction and operation of a new dairy farm with up to 850 mature cows. Approximately 15 acres will be disturbed by the construction of new buildings and facilities, which will include barns, an anaerobic digestor, electrical generation, and a 2.9 million gallon manure storage lagoon. The project is located west of Route 11 and south of Little York Crossing in the Town of Homer.

Onondaga County - The Planning Board of the Village of Skaneateles, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Skaneateles Community Recreation Center. A public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement will be held on July 6, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. at the Waterman Elementary School, 55 East Street, Skaneateles, New York. The action involves the building of an indoor recreation facility on an approximately 19 acres parcel of land located immediately adjacent to C.M. Austin Park in the Village of Skaneateles. the facility would be constructed in multiple phases, and would ultimately consist of two ice rinks, a central lobby area, an indoor aquatic facility, meeting rooms, offices, locker rooms, and other spaces for community uses. The project is located on an approximately 19 acre parcel of land located immediately adjacent to and north of C.M. Austin Park in the Village of Skaneateles, Onondaga County.
