Project Description:
 The applicant has enrolled in the Wetlands Reserve Program, through which the Genesee County Soil & Water Conservation Service has developed a proposal to restore and enhance an existing shrub/deciduous wetland area within NYS DEC regulated Freshwater Wetland AK-16 (Class II), in order to increase its value and attractiveness to waterfowl. This wetland habitat modification will be accomplished by constructing a low berm and wildlife potholes connected by level ditching. The low berm will feature an in-line water control structure. Woody vegetation will be cleared for 50' adjacent to the potholes and 25' to either side of the level ditching to facilitate the appearance of emergent vegetation. These areas of open water interspersed with wetland emergent vegetation will benefit waterfowl, fur-bearers, and other wildlife. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the NYS DEC Regional Headquarters.

Project Description:
 NYS Electric & Gas Corporation is proposing the removal and relocation of approximately 3,256 L.F. of electric transmission line along the east side of Walworth Road in the vicinty of the Mill Road intersection. A length of the line to be removed is within regulated wetland MA-11. Tracked equipment will be used to remove the wires and the poles will be cut at the base and removed from the regulated area. Restoration of disturbed wetland soils will be done, as needed. The relocated section of the line is approximately 590 L.F., and is not within the wetland or adjacent area. The total project will affect +/-1.5 acres.
