 The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/In- stitutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five-year period, maintaining the current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements.  The applicant proposes to undertake chemical treatment of approximately 8 acres of recreational ponds at his property located approximately 3 miles south of the hamlet of Pope Mills on Turner Road, approximately 1.5 miles west of the intersection County Route 10 (Hyde Road). The site is in regulated Freshwater Wetland PM-5, a 40 acre Class II wetland. The chemical Aquaclean would be used to control milfoil.
