Onondaga County - The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District has assessed the environmental impacts of the proposed Onondaga County Combined Sewer Separation Project and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). The proposed project involves the separation of 13 combined sewer overflows into distinct storm and sanitary sewers. Comments on the Environmental Assessment and FONSI will be accepted by the contact person until June 30, 2000.

Onondaga County - The Onondaga County, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Criminal Court Facility Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a new Criminal Court Facility building and surface parking on the site of an existing parking garage which is to be demolished as part of the project. The new building is expected to contain about 120,000 square feet with some expansion potential, and be 3 – 5 stories in height, plus a basement. The action includes renovation of vacated space in the existing County Court House and County Office. The project is located on South State Street in the City of Syracuse adjacent to the existing Public Safety Building.

Tioga County - The State Education Department, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Owego-Apalachin Central School District projects, SED Project Nos, 60-06-01-06-4-010-001, 60-06-01-06-5-011-001 and 60-06-01-06-0-009-011, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The actions involve new construction of bus storage and bus maintenance and additions and alterations to the Owego Free Academy High. The new bus storage and maintenance facility will be located at State Route 96, Owego, New York. Owego Free Academy High is located on George Street, Owego, New York.

Onondaga County - The Planning Board of the Village of Skaneateles, as lead agency has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Skaneateles Community Recreation Center. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on July 6, 2000 at 7:30 pm at Waterman Elementary School, 55 East Street, Skaneateles, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until July 21, 2000. The action involves The Skaneateles Recreational Charitable Trust proposing to build an indoor recreation facility on an approximately 19 acre parcel of land located immediately adjacent to C.M. Austin Park in the Village of Skaneateles. The facility would be constructed in multiple phases, and would ultimately consist of two ice rinks, a central lobby area, an indoor aquatic facility, meeting rooms, offices, locker rooms, and other spaces for community uses. The project is located on an approximately 19 acre parcel of land located immediately adjacent to and north of C.M. Austin Park in the Village of Skaneateles, Onondaga County, New York and bounded by Jordan Road on the West and State Street, also known as Route 321, on the East.

Broome County - The Town of Vestal Town Board, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Shoppes at Vestal Retail Center. The action involves the redevelopment of an under-utilized industrial site (22,000 square feet, former meat ball factory) as a 90,000 to 95,000 square feet planned shopping plaza on a 13.5 acre site located on the Vestal Parkway East, adjacent to the Town Square Mall. The project is located on the northwest corner of the Vestal Parkway (SR - 434) and African Rd., Vestal, NY.
